Mrs Joanna Blossom lives in Alverstoke, Hampshire and provides tailor made craft workshops for children and families of all ages and abilities. A self taught artist, she has ran craft workshops for various companies and locations including Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve, The Kings Theatre (Portsmouth), Gosport Discovery Centre, Garsons Titchfield & Esher, Fairthorne Manor YMCAand Library and numerous schools in and around Hampshire. Mrs Blossom has also ran specially tailored workshops in secure children’s homes and sensory craft activities for children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND). More recently Joanna has been involved in funded projects such as Culture Spark for Chichester Festival Theatre, Get Involved at the Guildhall Portsmouth, Pompey HAF project at Portsmouth City Museum and We Shine Light Festival for Portsmouth Creates.
Joanna has worked in the arts industry for over 20 years and has a BA Hons Degree in Stage Management from Rose Bruford College. As well was working in the arts Mrs Blossom also has 8 years of experience working in education as a teaching assistant, 1:1 student support, after school club tutor, volunteer LSA and school governor for local Infant and Junior Schools.
Previously, Mrs Blossom worked in the entertainment industry as the stage manager at Butlins, Bognor Regis and ran, with her husband, a successful entertainment company producing shows for holiday resorts across the country and supplying quality entertainment nation wide. They produced shows such as ‘Spooky Science’ for the three Butlins resorts and ‘Magic Exposed’ & 'It's Not Rocket Science' for the 35 Haven parks.
Mrs Blossom is incredibly experienced at working with children and has an up to date enhanced DBS, (Mrs Blossom is subscribed to the Update Service so you can see her latest DBS information.) She has Public Liability up to £5 million, Level 2 Safeguarding CPD and
holds a certificate in Emergency First Aid. A risk assessment can be supplied on request for the workshops.
